RIP Elizabeth Taylor

Legendary actress, Elizabeth Taylor, who was 5’2″ according to IMDB, has passed away at the age of 79.  Ms. Taylor made her screen debut as a child actress in Lassie Come Home and went on to be one of the best-known actresses in the history of Hollywood in films such as Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, BUtterfield 8, and of course, Cleopatra

    She was arguably the most beautiful woman in the world–EVER. Perfect features, perfect everything. All those 5'9"+ actresses and models had NOTHING on her when it comes to sheer good looks.

    Just goes to show that height isn't everything. Wish the fashion world–and really, the media at large–would wake up.

    I've been reading posts about her passing, and I realized that I haven't seen any of her movies! We started watching National Velvet sometime in college and probably got distracted by homework or something. I hadn't even heard of Butterfield 8 and she even won an Oscar for that! I didn't know she was 5'2". She was stunningly beautiful!

    @Anonymous Exactly! I think she was much more regal and elegant looking than many of the taller actresses of that period (even Audrey Hepburn, I think)

    @Jen HaHA IMDB says she was 5'2", though I've heard 5'4" as well. In either case, she was petite by today's standards.
