Petite Fashion Challenge 11: A Comfy Chic Vacation Outfit

This month’s Petite Fashion Challenge, hosted by Ski Petite asks that we create a vacation outfit that would work for both sightseeing and dinner/drinks at a nice restaurant (ok, the real challenge asks that the outfit be varied enough so that the outfit would look different later in the day.  I’m NOT much of an accessories girl – I pretty much stick to a necklace, bracelet and my wedding and engagement rings in terms of jewellery and maybe a scarf).  The outfit I put together (rather quickly, I might add) is something that is appropriate for a city vacation, one filled with museum or art gallery visits and, of course, shopping.  It’s comfortable, yet not too “you’re not from here, are you”/very obviously tourist looking (i.e. t-shirts, fanny packs and running shoes – YUCK!) or too fashion victim-y.  The wedges with a slight heel give me some height, yet are very comfortable to walk in (I wore these for my trip to Manhattan and walked from Times Square to Central Park South in these).  The bag is nice, and big enough to hold your wallet, phone, some make-up, purchases, museum brochures (no maps needed -that’s what Smartphones are for) and maybe a camera (the Smartphone is for back-up purposes).

  • Top: AIME, XS (from 2009 or 2010)
  • Camisole: Smartset, XS
  • Pants: Femme de Carriere, size 30 (aka size 0)
  • Shoes: Stuart Weitzman, size 5
  • Bag: 442 McAdam Hobo
  • Sunglasses: Fendi

So there you have it, the 11th Petite Fashion Challenge.  Can’t wait for the next one!

Looove that bag! And also your top – I like how it has that slight sheen to it, very classy.

  • Your shoes are great! Seem to be a really nice compromise between comfort and style. Best comfy walking shoes I’ve seen all challenge.
