January Poll Results: Are You A Member of Any Flash Sale Sites?

Last month, we asked you whether you were members of any flash sale sites.  It was kind of surprising to find that more than 41% (41.2%, actually) of you didn’t know what they were, since so many people have been talking about them over the past few months.  Some of you, at 29.4% said that you like these sites, but find that your size disappears very quickly (totally agree with you here!!  In fact, sometimes, items are sold out within minutes – regardless of size!).  Others find the sites a waste of time and money (17.6%).  Only 5.9% said that they were totally addictive.  Another 5.9% chose other.

Do you agree with these results?  Which sites do you frequent most often (those of you who frequent this blog probably know that I’m kind of partial to Peacock Parade)

I’m a member of several flash sale sites including peacock parade but I’ve only purchased from HauteLook, Beyond the Rack and Enviius.  I don’t like that HauteLook has the 18% international charge – it has to be REALLY worth it so I have to calculate that back into the price of the item.  BTR has a flat ship fee which is great but I don’t really find items on that site as appealing. I’ve only bought Amrita Singh from Enviius and I haven’t liked anything on it since them.  I do like the items off of peacock parade but they are usually still out of my budget.

My favorite site at the moment to shop at is Dealuxe, but it’s not a flash sale site.  Which I kind of prefer. That 15 minutes to make a decisicion is too much pressure!

    • Re international charge:  One reason I have yet to make a purchase from Gilt. And I agree with you with BTR – you really have to wait for the RIGHT BRANDS to go on sale, and often when they do, they either don’t have your size or anything you like (or both).  Peacock Parade, however, is better in terms of my personal tastes.
