Shorty Stories was created by Cynthia Cheng Mintz (aka CynthiaC), a petite activist based in Toronto. Launched in 2006 as a stand alone website, with the blog launching one year later, it eventually became a blog-only format in 2008. While today, the site primarily discusses fashion and fit, it still focuses on petite-related social issues as well as celebrates petiteness. Petite is beautiful after all and shouldn’t be something one is ashamed of. And both the fashion industry and body image activists should be more aware of this.
